Valentine, Valentine What Do You See? Emergent Reader

Well, the infamous third quarter 'comfortables/crazies' have kicked in my classroom. You know where students aren't really worried anymore about self-control, they are absent all the time because everyone shares their germs and support from parents tends to wane a little because their child 'never acts like this at home'. Behavior and germs and denial, oh my!!! (Oops, did I say that out loud? Sorry!)

So, I took a nap tonight and regrouped. Then, I was all motivated and ready to create something fun for my wonderfully fabulous, talented, supportive, witty, amazing and faithful followers because I LOVE you all!!!

Head on over to my TpT store to purchase a copy of my Valentine, Valentine What Do You See? Emergent Reader.

Also, if you haven't checked the February Math & Literacy Stations Google Doc lately, be sure to see if there's anything you can use. Almost everything that everyone has added is free. Yay!!!

  3. Marlana,
I am new to following your blog. How do you access the Google Doc freebies that you were talking about? I am logged in to Google Docs, but don't really know how it works...Thanks!

    1. Hi Carrie!

You just click on freebie documents that are hosted through Google Docs. For example, try clicking the image in the following post to access a document to see if it works for you. I've started uploading most of my freebies to TpT and Teachers Notebook so people can access things more easily.

Now that I'm looking back at everything, I wish I would have been consistent in how I shared freebies. I have used Scribd, Google Docs, TpT and Teachers Notebook. Freebies are all over the place. :)

    1. You're welcome, Laura! I agree. I still have a few kiddos that aren't using many strategies in reading yet and they have the hardest time with blue, black and brown. :)

  8. I love the reader, but the download on TPT is garbled. I can see the images fine, but the text is completely blurred out. I am on a Mac, and not sure if that is the problem or not. Any ideas?

    1. Hi, Amy! Everyone that has been on a Mac has had the same problem. TpT recommends downloading the newest version of Adobe and making sure you aren't opening the file in Preview mode. If that doesn't work, I can email it to you, but unless you have the same fonts installed, it might appear even more wonky than the text blur. :) If you need me to email it you if the other things don't work, just let me know. I'd be happy to!
