Teacher Peer Pressure, Product Envy or Lack of Self-Control?....Hmmm...

I bought one of these tonight!!!! In my defense, I only paid $19.24 because I had $10 in Amazon gift cards from SwagBucks and it was shipped for free. Yay! Thanks to everyone who has signed up and been earning SwagBucks. I owe you for helping me out! :)

So, which do you think it was peer pressure from other fabulous bloggy teachers, love of a fun product that saves me steps to the laminator in the workroom located in the trailer outside our building or just plain good old-fashioned lack of self-control?

***Update: I'm beginning to think that you guys can't live without your Scotch Thermal Laminators! :) Now, I'm even more anxious to try it out!

  1. Love Mine! Did you see that Amazon also carries the laminating pouches! I had just ordered 200 from the Lamination Depot when I found them a bit cheaper at the "A" and with an order of $25 or more...free shipping...who cant spend $25 at the big "A!"

  2. I have one of those and LOVE IT!!! Last year my mother asked what I wanted for my birthday and I told her a laminator and she thought I was a total dork lol! I used it all the time for everything! Have fun laminating it up!!

  3. Marlana!!! Have you tried it yet?! I went through a whole package of laminating pouches the first night! I will still use the laminator at school for the big things but I will love having my own to take care of the little things. Does that help you rationalize yours better?! ;). Have fun!

  4. I'm so glad you all have one and know that I will love mine. I have not tried one yet, but zillions of teacher bloggers can't be wrong, right? :)

Jackie, I LOVE Amazon!!! At Christmas time, I think UPS was at our house every day.

Jessica, I am 'dorky' like that, too! I get excited about things like this!

Mrs. Hicks, I plan to use mine for small pieces and save my big stuff for the school laminator, too. I wanted something that would be super convenient for labeling, name tags, etc. You totally helped me rationalize! :)

  5. I am almost embarrassed to say this but I actually have 2 of them and I LOVE THEM!!! In my defense though, I found one on clearance at Office Depot for $14.95 and couldn't pass it up. Now I have one for my classroom and one for home. You can get the laminating pouches at Costco and SamsClub too. So excited for you and "Happy Laminating!" Oh, what is the big "A?"

  6. Trust me--you won't have a single concern once you begin using it! I love.love.LOVE mine! It makes those 'over the weekend' bursts of creativity a do-able thing! Many a morning, I've sat down to laminate some things with my coffee in hand.

The best part is, the laminating pouches are often much thicker (and stiffer) than the school lamination--which means that my 'game boards' or 'game pieces' are actually FAR FROM flimsy! :)

    Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! :)

  7. Class Full of Special Kinders and Liesl, I'm getting very excited now!!!

The big 'A' is Amazon.com. Yay for free shipping on $25 orders!!! I miss my Prime subscription. I actually have to wait 5-8 business days for this shipment. If I had Prime it would have been 2 days.

  8. You will LOVE it! When my first one broke, I kept it and bought another. Now I use two at once (it still works, just doesn't look as pretty as the new one.) Enjoy!

  9. I wish, wish, wish, for my own laminator. Maybe the Winner Fairy will choose me. You blog has inspired me to look into circle cutters and creating some work center activities.
I am blessed to be a part of the blogging community, even if I am only a stalker.
